Dadefer has run a series machining shop in Guabiruba, in southern Brazil, since 2007. It makes parts from drawings or samples, in batches of 100 or more, and has been ISO 9001 certified since 2009.
This project is a redesign. I built Dadefer’s previous site in 2022 and redesigned it in 2026. The new site has been delivered and is under review by the company.
The goal
Explain the two ways to work with Dadefer and lead to a quote request. In parts manufacturing, Dadefer supplies the material. In industrial machining, the customer sends it.
Visual concept
Sober and industrial. The top of the page uses a full-screen photo of the factory with a blue gradient and a large white heading. Sections alternate between white and light gray, and everything is set in Geist.
Design and technical decisions
- It’s the largest of the four sites: company, two services, a parts catalog, industries, quality, contact, site search and a privacy policy.
- The quote form validates each field and says how to fix it, as in “Informe um e-mail válido, como nome@empresa.com.br” (enter a valid email, like name@empresa.com.br). If sending fails, it offers WhatsApp instead.
- A bar at the top lists the contacts for quotes, purchasing and email.
- Astro, with Geist served from the site itself, a sitemap and animations that respect the reduced motion setting.
